165 Days Poster Design

Here is the Step - By - Step Guide on how i created the poster for 165 days

main.JPG

Step 1:

I began with taking this photo, i chose this pose as it is usually seen being used by people that are struggling mentally and that is what i am trying to show.

I set the camera up to be looking down on me instead of being level as a way to show that my person is feeling "Down"

Step 2:

Next, i put the photo into Adobe Photoshop and carefully removed the background to only contain the photo of me.

I used the selection tool to carefully outline my person to make sure that i cover the entire background to be removed.

i then hit the delete button on my keyboard to remove the background and this is the result

Step 3:

After i had carefully removed my background, i selected a photo of a rainy window and positioned it behind my person to act as a base layer of a background

I chose rain as it connotes sadness and that is the tone that i am going for.

Step 4:

After adding the rainy background, I selected an image of a plain window.

Using the cutting tool on Adobe Photoshop, i carefully removed each of the insides of the windowpanes slowly.

This was to create the image as if i was sitting on a windowsill and it was raining outside.

Step 5: Adding the Title.

<<<--- Press the arrow to see each part get added.

To add the title, i used a website*, to create a font that I believed fit the theme the best.

After i had the Title created in said font, i slowly cut out each number/letter 1-by-1 using the cutting tool on Adobe Photoshop.

One each letter was singulated, I added them to the photo one by one in each of the window panes.

I did this as a way to isolate each letter as my person is isolated during the film.

Final Poster + Evaluation

This is the finished poster for 165 Days.

I positioned my person in a way that is commonly used by mental health charities such as Samaritans or CALM would to demonstrate how people are going through problems
